Often stacked with pastrami, corned beef or liverwurst, the Jewish Rye has the power to evoke emotive Upper West Side feelings.
But its deep roots, dill pickle juice, and caraway seeds make the Rye truly what it is – one of the world’s most celebrated (and sometimes, hated) breads. Unique. Hardy. Civilized…enough.
There’s something about an ancient grain that thrives in cold, wet weather. Personality. Spunk.
When you try the Rye, you might just feel like you can take on anything the day throws at you.
In fact, it’s the loaf that we’re proud to say has stood up to even the toughest of crowds – and by that we mean New Yorkers.

granola & grahams
Granola is expensive.
We don’t mind that so much since granola is a very different beast from traditional cereal.
What we do mind, is the ‘dressing down’ manufacturers do to it. Cheaper bits become the majority, and pricier bits the minority.
Somehow, this, along with making the amount per package less and less has become the norm.
That’s like selling a Mercedes with plastic parts so you can compete with Toyota. We refuse to do it. In fact, we’re pretty snooty about such things. Hence, the name.
We’ve made this, as it should be made: exotic, high quality, organic ingredients and lots of ‘em. Because when you do it this way, you don’t have to cover up deficiencies with extra sugar.
You’ll find this granola to be less sweet, more satisfying, and most importantly, delicious.
